Burnt Dash Lights

I read that every time people take apart the dash they find a new light burnt out.. I am just wondering if they are all leds? and if i am supposed to have ones on the fan control (off lo med high) lit up,

and is the one that controls the info screen also an led?

Looks like you need two led bulbs to me. Search in the audio forum for the instructions. Its reallly pretty easy after the first time You do it .

Open and remove the tray that is beneath the heat control out from its position. I found this can be done by opening it slightly and pulling straight up. I don't have pics but the best way I can describe it is that there are two tabs located at the bottom of the tray which click into place that allows it to pivot. There are also two stoppers (one on each side) wrapped in felt to prevent it from completely opening.

There is a single bolt near the area the tray locks closed. It's possibly a 12mm but I don't know exactly because mine is missing. Remove that bolt.

Grip the bottom of the heat control panel and give it a solid pull to unseat the tabs.

Unplug the heat control panel and the rest is pretty much self explanatory.

Just did this today for a blown bulb in the LCD then discovered the bulbs are a dealer item (at least for the LCD anyway).

Center Console Lights

My bulb on my dash is burnt out in the exact same area where the time shows on the display. Need to fix it but I want to wait until I get all new LED's for the whole interior. Also my seat heater (driver's side) control switch light is out. My rear defrost "ON" light works when it feels like it. :nono:

As far as the bulbs that work when they feel like it, during the time I replaced the blown bulbs in my heat controls and LCD, I elected to take an eraser pencil (look up "Faber-Castell 7058B") and scrub the contacts. The copper was definitely oxidized a bit (very dark and orange in color). Along with pulling the bulb wire up slightly, scrubbing the contacts helped the left side of the LCD since that bulb would "pulse" at random times.

Just a thought.
