i'm looking at buying an 03 4x4 v8. I've noticed on the left side of the dash that there is a button that looks like the 4wheel drive symbol with an x in the middle of it. does anybody know what this button does? j/w
Can i use it when it rains? Also, what would happen if i turn my steering wheel while using it on dry pavement? Not for a use on the dry pavement, unless you are going straight. For ta short test you can be on the dry pavement just do not turn your steering wheel.
To test it, I believe it also needs to be in 4wd.
ok, i'm confused now. When do i need to turn it on? Everytime i slip and slide on black ice, that button blinks and some bell rings, and i gain traction back.
To test it, I believe it also needs to be in 4wd. ...
It turns off all of the traction controls and allows all 4 wheels to spin freely. (You can do a quick test but don't turn the wheel)
It turns you traction control off I belive "someone chime in if im wrong" but when I enable it it will rev to the limiter when I'm trying to get out of somthing "like sand" Where otherwise your runner would click and vibrate for you and not get higher in the RPMs
That sounds nice. And does it matter if i'm on 4wd or lo 4wd?
He has a V8 model and that means it is 4x4 all the time.
