Buying a new/rebuilt engine

anyone have a good place to get a new engine? I have a 1995 4runner 3.0L V6 5 speed with just under 285k miles. Im thinking about going to the 3.4L V6. Any help that anyone can give would be great.

wrecking yard, craigslist, ebay, just have to search around. They are pretty common to find and commonly swapped.

Check toyotacarpart.com--they stock both the 3.0 and 3.4 longblocks, and have a good warranty on them. They're out of Colorado Sprgs. This is all they do, and they've been doing it for a while now. Best of luck! :frog:

My eyes are pretty big with my Runner and I'm seriously considering a 2JZ swap in the future. I've been swapping engines in Honda's most my life, so to keep anything stock for me...well it only happens for so long lols

My pleasure, RR! A fellow Honda guy? I've done quite a few of those myself--great little cars! The swaps were usually after botched oil changes, etc.--they wear like iron normally. I'm currently finishing a 350 swap into the Yota. :frog:
