Buying a new T4R. Third row question.

Hopefully this hasn't been answered a bunch of times.
We're looking at a new SR5 for our new vehicle. This will be my 5th T4 and 8th Toyota truck. Looking at the SR5 and would like to have the 3rd row seating but don't want the $3K option package.

Additionally are there any dealers here that we should look at buying perhaps out of state? Buying in CA kicks our but with tax etc.

lol were in the same situation buddy hahaha i want an 2012 Black toyota 4Runner SR5! with 3rd row... but where I live (Utah) they hardly have black ones and if they have them they say no Third Row so frustrating.

I'm looking for dark grey with black interior, I have found a few around but the rear seats are part of a $3K option package of which I need none of. I'm hoping I can find a parts dealer that will order the part for me.

I didnt know they were part of a $3k package -_- lol I have seen some used where I live for $30,000 to $32k USED with Third row seats very nice too!

The 3rd row, by itself, is an $805 option and could be configured that way if the dealer chose to do so. Whether or not you'll find one that way seems unlikely.

You know.. I've seen that option show up on non Toyota sites, but the Toyota site doesn't seem to have it. Perhaps it is my location?? I asked the general manager of the local Toyota and was told that other people have asked that too and I could look at an aftermarket thing.... No thanks. I also called my friend who works in the part dept of another dealer and he said they can't order the seats in other then in the specific parts which would cost a lot!! I'll find a dealer willing to add the option for me.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the 3rd row is a factory option not a "port" option as there are restraint systems and supplemental restraint systems that also need to be installed. I don't think you can buy the seats and just bolt them in and call it the 3rd row option.

Oh and ya gotta love this eh...LMAO...

I live in NV (Las Vegas) and ended up buying mine from Flagstaff AZ, I got a great deal on my 12 LE, I think they had a 2011 LE with 3rd row seats certified Pre Owned, you can always check out their web site.

Haha.. I live in Phoenix and ended up getting mine from Vegas - new SR5 w/3 row seats.... That was in December 2011...

I looked from Dec until I got mine last month in LV and no-one had a Limited period.....Used one at Carmax but it had the 3rd row seat and I didn't want/need that option.
