For those curious, its an old user name that I got from Eddie Izzard - Cake or Death.

I come from the desert racing side of things. Used to shoot photos for a few sites until there was a major accident with 8 deaths. After that, there have been too many regulations which hasnt made it worth it. Now with my son, my priorities have changed and the itch to explore is growing. I've logged miles in the dirt with stock vehicles to race trucks, but this is finally my first 4WD. So far it has been nothing but a blast.

I took my first trip with her up to Big Bear to go camp and go bouldering(rock climbing) with a couple of friends. Only snapped a couple of pictures. Had to take a few fire roads that were whooped/rutted out and was surprised with how smooth the front end rode over it all.

DIY Home Depot Cargo Mat
$30 Rubber Floor Tiles
Gorilla Tape

T4R04.1.jpg

T4R04.2.jpg

Place 6 of the tiles in a 3x2 pattern and flip over so the bottom side it up. I used the black Gorilla Tape and taped all the seams. So far, just doing this, has held up. Time will tell if that continues.

T4R04.3.jpg

Overlapped edges. Cut it to desired size. I cut it about 1" oversized to the carper dimensions because I wanted to try to tuck it underneath all the interior panels for a cleaner look. I was hoping for a simple squeeze, but it took a bit more sweat than that. Came out really well. I have some weights back there now to try to push it flatter since the stock carpet and the shape wanted to "bubble" it up.

Cooper ST Maxx 255/80/17 Pizza Cutters! So far I love these. Only minor rubbing on the front bumper at half turn when I hit a dip like a driveway. Very minimal though.

Diamond Antenna K400C/NMO Hatch Mount
Very good build quality. This will be for my ICOM V8000. At this time, I still havent installed the radio. But I ran the antenna wire up to the center console. I will post those pictures when I do my radio install.

*For those who will ask. I am going to be taking the test for the technician license. The radio will not be installed or used until then.*

Full length for trails

The underside of the hatch mount. After research, those set screws are long to make impact with the main cab for a better ground. I slit the rubber loom under the plastic clip to insert the antenna wire. From there it runs under my headliner. I didnt have to remove the headliner, I just pulled it down and wedges my fingers in. I used the coat hanger method to get it down through the jack mount, into my newly added rear wheel well storage(Antmans Brute Force Method), down the rear driverside doorsill(pulls off easily) and then finally pulled off the driver seat rear mount covers and fished the wire through there to get to the center console. Pics of this to come during radio install. I used the Diamond C110 10' extension to get the total length to be 16.5' from unit to mount. Seems to be the perfect length.

Looks great!

How much lift did did the Fox net you? Do you happen to know the before/after height?

I actually didn't really measure the difference. I think about 2" is where I have it set. I installed them as they shipped and it happened to sit level, which I was happy with. I need to dial them in and get my alignment though. I just installed a Gobi rack and it put a bit of weight on it haha.

Bussmann Auxiliary and Lightbar wiring

First thing I did before any wiring was buy a prewired set up for a clean look. I was impressed with the work this seller did and would highly recommend it.
Prewired Bussmann Universal Relay/Fuse auxiliary distribution box

T4R07.1.jpg

After I got all the wires through the firewall(Big grommet on drivers side), I zip tied and wrapped the ends of the futures and continued one for the light bar on my Gobi rack. I removed the bottom door sill and door seal. I routed the 12ga wire up the B Pillar and found a good spot to drill a hold, just in front of the roof rack inserts. Keep an eye out for the air bags. I removed the seal(easy, just pull) for the rear drivers side door and had a good visual to make sure it was clear. I inserted a grommet and siliconed the wire going through. Its large enough to fit another wire or 2 if needed in the future. I didnt want to drill again lol.

Gobi Stealth Roof Rack

Roof Rack and 40" Curved LED Bar

Full length mesh and adjustable cross bars. I didnt want to be limited in what I can throw up there, and I figured fixed cross bars might do that.
