Cabin Air filter filthy

Thanks guys for the suggestion and link, just got my filter from Amazon and had a chance to replace my OE filter. I figured everyone loves pictures so why not snap a few :)

How it is supposed to be installed:


The installation actually had me confused for a split second...the arrow is labelled in the opposite direction of the OE Toyota filter, lol. The Toyota filter tells you which way is up, and the Fram tells you which way the air is suppose to flow.

Yea I was also confused a bit.. but common sence kicked in lol

I changed mine with the car running AC on. Had me thinking for a bit to leave it off. Without the filter the damn AC actually puts out a decent amount of air.

Nice, what do you think of the K&N?

The dealer quoted me $69 to replace the cabin air filter today, I declined. I then called the dealer back, talked to the parts department and asked how much the cabin air filter costs... $20. Yep, apparently $50 labor to open the glove box. Maybe they do something extra to the system during the change, I pretty much shut down after I heard the original quote. Needless to say I bought the OEM cabin filter for $20 and literally took a minute to replace it. Definitely needed it too. I couldn't believe the air flow afterwards, I completely neglected this.

The K@N is working fine. No odors or anything. I have not had to clean it yet.
