California motor swap due to blow by

I had posted MONTHS ago on needing help w my 95 4Runner w the 3.0l and finally bit the bullet and took it to Toyota. Bad news, the motor is getting blow by. Put some plug extenders and high grade plugs, worked and ran like a champ for about 700 miles but that's not working anymore as it's now eating plugs in around 2-300 miles and 75 miles to the tank. The motor is the California 3.0l so here's my question. I'm not in the head gasket recall group so needing to put a new motor in. Since its the Cali one, do I have to get another Cali motor? Will my computer accept the 'normal' motor and sensors? How can I go about this?

I don't think a Cali motor is different from any other, it's just the added-on smog equipment that makes it meet Cali emissions standards.
