Call quality when using handsfree/bluetooth

Whenever I am calling someone and leaving them a message on a standard VM, half the time, their phone's VM cuts me off (as if it was unable to hear any message being left). Don't know why. I try to talk lound and clear and point my mouth towards the mic.
 
Mine has worked perfectly in terms of what I hear and what people hear from me. The only issue I have discovered with my LG9200 is that after I end a call, I have to wait maybe 5 seconds before placing another or it does not go through. I have no idea why that is but in my Infiniti I can dial another right away.
 
IPhone 2G works fine with hand free bluetooth on this 2010 T4R, Its very clear. I used to have Blackberry 8100 sound quality also very good but connection seem dropping from time to time, I am not sure what happen.

I just pickedup a 2011 Limited and the blue tooth for my LG 8600 is very clear. Infact, much better than my 2004 4-Runner and my friend's LEXUS. Drastic improvement, although the voice commands appear cumbersome. Maybe I do not know how to effectively use them yet.
 
With mine I can talk just fine, but whoever is on the other end says I fade in and out.

I have a blackberry storm and verizon. Truck has no issues pairing with the phone.
 
Concerning the dropped and fading calls, has anyone used an external antenna for their cell phone? The ON-GLASS type works great if you're in a fringe area and offers about 3dB of gain over the built-in phone antenna.

I get nothing but complaints when I use my bluetooth....I find that I have to talk really loud, lean toward the center of the vehicle and try to point my mouth at the mic. I still have people tell me it sounds like I am talking through a tin can and that I cut out often, which usually causes me to just cancel the hands-free and pick up my phone if I decide to continue the call. I'm using the LG enV-touch (Verizon service) but believe the problem is more the vehicle system than the phone. It's kind of frustrating...
 
Stopped into Verizon today and talked to one of their techs. He said my problem is most likely the phone since the truck is a '10 and further stated that Toyota's system is pretty good. I kind of figured it was my phone, it's pretty rough right now and there are other little probs with it...unfortunately it's not time for a new one.
 
Maybe they've fixed it on newer models, but I bought a 2006 new and tried to use it with two diferent Blackberries, a curve and an IPhone, all with lousy sound quality. Took the issue as far as I could with Toyota, and they eventually told me that, "It was working as it was desinged to." We bought this $43,000 vehicle on Toyota's strong service reputation. We have actuallt been told not to come back to our dealer (Cobb County Toyota) because they charged us for tire rotation that they didn't do and refused to give us credit, so we charged it back. They won't even perform our Toyota factory recall service on the brakes and the accelerator problem.

Never again!

Try pairing a friends phone and see if they have the same problem. I've used two different phones, a nokia and a dell venue pro, and I have had no issues with call quality or other things when using the stock nav and blueooth.
