I swapped out the crappy aquaplaning Bridgestone's for TA KO AT's and went with 275's on my new 2106 SR5. They did rub at times up front so a 3' lift cured that and improved the look. The downside is the drop in mileage with tires that weigh 16 lbs over the OEM's. I've dropped 2mpg's on both city and hay. I've used these BFG's on two previous vehicles.....F250 power stroke and a '13 Wrangler and didn't notice any appreciable difference in mileage. No question they are great tires.

I just upgraded my Toyo Open Country's to BFG's, but kept the same stock size (due to being my daily driver and driving 80+ miles daily). I have to say, they look and feel great. We'll see how they wear, compared to the Toyo's.

I put white letters inside. I don't like white stuff on tires. It make them look like gangster shoes.

Really want to purchase the KO2s in 265s. What is holding me back is wondering if I will regret the truck feeling more sluggish compared to the stock Duelers with added weight. Also considering TG g2s just because they are almost the same weight as stock. Love the look of the KO2s but don't want to regret it driving away and noticing the difference and being stuck with the tires. Any thoughts from current 265 owners? Am I making too much of a deal about it? Hopefully it's not a perceptible difference.

I got the KO2's in 265 and haven't noticed any of the stuff you're worried about. In fact the handling is much improved and gas mileage seems unaffected. They've been fantastic tires so far.

I didn't notice any difference "feel" wise. You lose may 0.5-1mpg going to the KO2's. They're a little louder but I don't even notice them anymore. The biggest change is getting the dealer or shop to balance them correctly. The tires don't seem to be the easiest to balance so you might have to get them done an extra time if it doesn't feel right. Then again if you have a competent dealer/shop then it's not even a big deal. Go for the KO2's and don't look back.

The main reason I did not go for 275 is that I try to keep the geometry of my 4Runner stock. The stock of-road abilities are good enough for me. With 265 tires the suspension and drive line works exactly as it was designed in the factory. It gives me a piece of mind that famous Toyota reliability is not compromised by my uneducated modifications.

I replaced stock Duelers (hated them so much) with KO2 265 C rated and I am as happy as I can be.

Thanks! I actually went ahead and am having a set installed as we speak ( 265s LR-C). I'm really excited about them. couldn't pass up the deal..$867 installed at my Toyota dealer during their spring tire promotion.
