Calling all k02 owners 265 vs 275 ?

Jeezus Christ, we're still talking about this??? Dude, a 275 is roughly 1/2" taller. I've been driving through shitty shit for work and play for many years now, and I have yet to encounter a situation where a 1/4" extra clearance or 10mm of extra width would make even a little bit of difference to my quality of life. Just make your decision and move on to enjoying your truck.

Why are you still talking about this as well? Why do too many questions bother you?

This has been a very interesting thread. My thanks to all who offered suggestions, photos, etc. I just bought my first 4R, a 2017 TRD Off-road Premium. I replaced a 2014 Jeep GC that was running BFG T/A KOs. Disliked the Jeep, loved the tires. Can't wait to replace the stock tires and wheels on the 4R, and planning BFG KO2s. Based on all info here I'm probably going to stick with 265/70s. Still trying to decide on wheels, wondering about best offset if considering a 2-3" lift, but that's a question for another thread, I suppose.

Just pulled the trigger on 265/70/17 through DiscountTire. I was debating 275s as I love the look of a wider tire, but in reality looks don't trump function (for me at least). I want to do a leveling kit with Bilsteins and didn't want to wait for tires until that happened. I'll edit this once I get a chance to test them.

Correct, I was wrong (but not much), as I used data from tirerack. On BFG site the difference is only 2 lb.

I own the 275s and have no regrets whatsoever. In my opinion the 265s are too small and 285s slightly too big unless you're going to do some other serious mods. 275 is the way to go. It's a great happy medium with very few downsides.

I found it very difficult to choose between the two size's.

You can't go wrong either way. BFG KO2's are a standard for a reason.
Great performance, on and off road. Really quiet too.

I went with 275's. As others have stated , it's a good sweet spot. I had the tire
shop bring out all three sizes, (265/275/285) to help me visualize the fit.

In person, they seemed significantly different in size.
More than I had expected, just poring over the numbers.
I had a Goldilocks moment!

I like the E rating, since I mostly
wheel in the Southern California desert.
I wanted the increased height, that only larger tires can bring.
And for some weird quirk, they were the cheapest.

I would say get the 275. Do it right the first time. I just installed 285s today and I must say looks a lot better. More aggressive looking. Aggressive mall crawler. Lol. I'm lifted on bils 2.5". I did feel a loss to my acceleration power when I need to floor it. But I'm not racing this truck soooo ehh. Lol

Just to play devils advocate here, i was surprised that the 34x10.50s weigh 2 lbs less than the 275s according to BFG. 1" taller tire, but the D instead of E rating (so they'll probably ride better) makes them pretty interesting. Someone on here claimed they didn't rub either, due to the narrower width. Too bad they are so expensive.

What is your setting on your beelstein? I also will change my suspension and tires . Think I will go 1.75 front with 1*inch cornfed spacer aft. Was debating 275 or 265 K02. Will stay with 265: seems to be rubbing issues with TRD rims, acceleration , braking, gas mileage ...

Yep, I am considering the 34/10.50/17 as well. Only thing holding me back is the price.

Can't speak to the wheels, but yes, 265/70R17 KO2s are stock size tires and fit just like the OEM ones.

After hours and hours of research over several days I finally pulled the trigger on 265s with TRD Pro wheels. Now I just have to wait patiently for them to be delivered. I agree with another comment....I spent less time deciding what house to buy lol
