Calling everyone running OME 906 coils

I replaced my 60027 with 60028 (Thanks ARB!) and I can tell the difference.
I purposely hit some speedbumps before the swap and after just to see how much difference there might be. It's not much but it is a bit softer.
 
906 or 890 with N86 shock

Have you guys tried the N86 rear shock. I have run them with 906's and now with 890's. Not a harsh ride. The N86 is more damp (softer) than the sport shocks. Remember,these springs and shocks are not made for stock 4 runners.
A little load ( trailer hitch,sub woofer box) will smooth things out.
I have 906's for sale.
 
Another bump...wanting to possibly lift a '97...thinking OME is the way to go, but want the soft ride shocks out back.
 
Has anyone noticed a noticeable difference by getting rid of the 60027s?

I have the 891s with no load in the back whatsoever and it is bone-jarringly stiff. Considering ditching the 60027s, but don't know if I'm barking up the wrong tree. Maybe I should ditch the coils and go with 890s instead.
 
I used to have 891's and 60027 shocks. I don't carry any weight.

Replaced the coils with LC 8's. Better, but still really stiff. When you can feel every tiny little bump in the road, even ones you can't see.

Just replaced 60027's with Bilstien 5125. Now it feels right, very smooth and comfortable. But its not too soft, didn't want a boat on my hands.

I really like this new combo. And would recommend it to anyone wanting a soft, comfy ride with 3-4" of rear lift
 
I like the amount of lift, just want it to be a little bit softer. Right now I don't feel like I get ANY give from the springs. I assumed it was just the shocks not giving at all.

Where did you get your Bilsteins?
 
hmm maybe this is whats wrong with my rear end on my runner? im running the 906 coils too but with tokicos. but im not very happy with the ride as they ride pretty bouncy/stiff on the freeway as well as bumpy local streets.

Is anybody running Bilsteins with 906's? Still trying to decide what shocks to get, and it seems the 906's are right smack dab in the middle of being not tall enough for most shocks or too tall for others.
 
I definitely would like to know what shocks people have the best luck with the 906's. I plan on getting some soon and would like the most comfortable ride as possible.

The OME Comfort shocks work well for my 906's, although I wish I had gone with the standard shocks, I feel like the stiffer lift springs match better to a stiffer shock. The combo I currently have installed makes the rear end a little jumpy, especially on bumpy on/off ramps. I think my Comfort shocks will match better to the 8 wrap LC coils I have to install.
 
Well if any of you decide you want the OME shocks for cheap, I'm selling mine. They ride great off-road, but on-road they're too stiff for my liking.

Will post back in this thread on how the Bilsteins ride with my 891s.
 
So kelly your running the 60028's? If thats the case I might end up just going with the bilsteins, but which model? Toytec says the 5125's are only recommended for 3".

All this and in the back of my head I still think I should just go with the 60028's nothing can be worse than my stock 170k + suspension.

When I was speaking with Toytec about this setup they said the 5100 series shocks were "too bouncy" if you planned on carrying any sort of load.
 
Thanks rick... yeah I think I'm just gonna pull the trigger on the OME shocks today and get it over with, I'm tired of starring at these springs on my floor!
