Hi,I am hoping someone can help me .I have a 2006 Toyota 4runner sport.Recently engine light, vsc off and vsc trac came on. I went to auto zone they scanned it for me.It said code p0022-camshaft position A-timing over retarded.I took it to Toyota and they said they got an eroor code-internal fault in the oil control valve. The vehicle has been running fine.If the lights had not come on I would not have known anything is wrong. They had me order part #15340-0p010VALVE ASSEMBLY, CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL, LEFT. They said the cost to replace including cost of part is 700$.I spoke to a non Toyota mechanic he said if it is just the sensor should only be about 300$ to repair. This is more than a sensor correct?Does 700$ sound unreasonable?Toyota said there is a lot involved in replacement.I am in Massachusetts.Thank you.
