This is going to be a compilation of random pictures from wheeling, trips, and mods. I don't have a build thread on my truck thus far so I'll post what's done to it as of now:

-Toytec boss lift kit with HD coils in the rear
-SPC UCA's
-Rocky Road Outfitters supersliders
-Stealth custom series SR8's
-285/70R17 BFG KO2
-22" OPT-7 Light bar behind the grille

Future wants:
-Southern Style Offroad front bumper
-Warn winch
-Skids
-ARB compressor and rear locker
-Roof rack
-Roof top tent
-Possibly rear bumper with swing out

Now the goods

Roady preparation

I'm currently getting ready for a holiday road trip from Alberta to Ontario with my girlfriend so she can meet my family for the first time and I'm trying to think of things I left out for the trip in the 4runner.
Currently I have:
-First Aid kit
-Fire extinguisher
-In-case sleeping bag
-Tire repair kit
-Small socket set
-Torque wrench (overkill, I know)
-Impact gun
-Bear Scare kit
-Couple recovery straps, shackles, gloves
-Misc cleaning supplies

Is there anything else anyone would take with them on a road trip like this? Just looking for ideas.
I'll be sure to post of pictures of the trip when I can.

Where in Ontario? I did the drive to Ottawa and back last year and Ontario was half the trip! Are you sticking to the Trans Canada or the lesser travelled routes? Are you trying to get there ASAP or are you exploring along the way? Driving straight through or stopping each night? The list could vary a lot depending on what your trying to accomplish.

If it's just a straight highway trip you're already more prepared than 99% of the others on the road, assuming you know how to use everything on your list. A few things come to mind though:
I found audiobooks to be more interesting than music when I did the return trip solo.
-Toilet paper and hand sanitizer is always a good thing to have.
-Your tire repair kit is good but only if you have a way to refill the tire after.
-Upgraded headlight bulbs would make nighttime driving easier (less hassle and better optics than the light bar).
-A flashlight or headlamp in case you have to be out of the vehicle at night.
-Lots of washer fluid since it'll be peak bug season.

Thanks for the reply. It will be all highway, trans Canada. Going to St. Catharines area.
As of right now, our plan is to drive straight through, non stop. I'm currently on night shift so the plan is to let the girlfriend drive during the day and I'll drive during the night. Of course that would work in a perfect world, so most likely it will be power naps and driving until one of us can't drive safely anymore. If we have to stop we will.
I forgot to add that we had toilet paper and washer fluid packed. I grabbed a headlamp from work as well.
Good call on the compressor tho, I would have totally forgot about that. I have a Motomaster compressor/battery booster pack that I'll have with me.

How did you find the drive? I keep hearing to make sure I have lots of fuel for northern Ontario because often there's not a fuel stop for several hundred KM's.
