I'm currently in the process of rebuilding the top end on my 95 runner, and currently installing the camshafts. However, I have a question that I was hoping you guys could answer. In the rebuild instructions it says to apply seal packing to the No.1 and No.5 bearing caps, however, my top end kit doesn't include any such thing. It looks like the previous owner used RTV, however, I wasn't sure about how safe that would be. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
