Can headlights be opened for cleaning?

This might be a dumb question but I searched and didn't see what I was after. I have one headlight thats new, the other is all dirty on the chrome reflective portion so it always looks hazy and old. Can you take the headlights apart easily? Or would it be better to slosh some solution around inside there? Thanks

i think to do a projector retrofit you have to open them up, something i read said 250 degree oven for 10-12 minutes softens the lens glue then it pulls off. just need to find a good glue to reseal it when done, unless you can heat it back up and reassemble

Take the head light out, remove the bulb and put your light into the dishwasher.

Make sure the head light opening is directly over the center nozzle of the dishwasher so that can put a good stream of water into it. Run the machine cycle with regular dish washing machine soap and it should be as good as new.

Here's a video I made when I did my retrofit. Video shows you how simple it is to remove glass lens from black plastic housing.

Are you 100% positive the haze is on the chrome? Can you post a pic of it? I'm just thinking how the inside of the headlight gets dirty unless its broken

A seal could be compromised or your air vent on the back of the light could have bene blocked and created condensation on the inside of the light;I had this problem and it has peeled up some of the chrome at the front of the light so it'll need to be replaced.
