Can I add Sirius to OEM head unit?

I have the Sirius radio set that I have transferred from vehicle to vehicle for years now. It's always an option to add this radio to my new (to me) 2006 4Runner I just bought. Just run the wires, decide where I'll mount my Sirius radio and install the FM modulator between the OEM head unit and the antenna. But, my non-JBL OEM head unit has a button on it for Satellite radio. Obviously nothing happens when I push it, but how do I make this work so I can have satellite radio through my OEM head unit without the Sirius radio that I have been using? I have talked to Crutchfield and this guy thought I'd have to buy something through Toyota to complete the system in my truck. I have looked on this forum but was not able to find a thread that I could follow, most of them were referring to aftermarket NAV systems or Scion radios which I do not have, nor am I interested in switching to at this time. I am just looking for any components I can adapt to my current radio, run the antenna and have satellite service through this head unit. If not, I can always plug and play my Sirius radio as I have done in other vehicles.

If there is a way to do this to my 4Runner, will it work on my girlfriend's 2007 Lexus RX with the same button?

I talked to the dealership and found a place on line that both said this will work when I order the two Sirius components and attach them to my factory head unit. One is the tuner and the other is the interface and once installed, I am told by both parties this will activate my SAT button on the front of my stereo. We'll see how it goes when the parts get here.
