Can the Stereo Volume Be Set to Quiet Down When NAV Guidance Voice Comes On?

I've looked over the manual and I couldn't find anything on setting the stereo volume to automatically attenuate when the NAV voice guidance comes on. Can this be done? When I'm rockin' out, sometimes I can barely hear what the NAV voice is saying over my funky jams. Seems like this would be a feature, but I can't seem to find it in any of the settings. Thx.

I've looked, and haven't found a setting like that. You can, however, turn up the nav voice in the settings. Or you can start listening to jazz fusion or Kenny G - anything quiet.

Thanks Danimal. Lol, I have a strict no Kenny G or Michael Bolton rule in my truck, so I guess I'll just have to settle for turning up the nav voice volume. Thanks for the tip. I turned it up today and was able to hear the lady much better over my music now. I also figured out which button on the touch screen repeats the last thing she said, so that helps too. Still weird that they don't have the option to kill the stereo for the nav voice tho, because it does it when I get a call or text. Oh well, no big deal.

My 2011 does that by default... Turns down the music and only plays the voice directions from the driver's side dash speaker.

Strange that Toyota decided to get rid of that feature on the newer 5th gens.

Some of the newer Toyotas do not have that feature... went through this with a Camry I think it wa or maybe a Corolla... I forget they look the same for the most part; but yeah, I thought it was weird too.
