Can u roll the windows down with the remote

yes, mine does this.
I did not program it myself; my local dealership took care of everything for me (though, there was a LOT of arguing going about it.. and the owner of the dealership had to flex his muscle to make people do the work)

What trim level do you have?
 
I just got this done from my local dealer this past Saturday, told the service advisor to enable my all window down that is standard on every toyota asides the 4runner.. They where supposed to charge me 34.00 but since I am still within the 25k Toyota Care they let it go.. I said but this is standard why are you trying to rip people off..

But yes it is possible to get it for free.. You just got to be persistent.
 
I had the dealership program mind. Hold the down button on the remote and they all go down. I wish you could hold the up and have them all go up.

Also, I've come out in the am and all the windows are down. I guess sometime in the evening something in my pocket presses it

So all 5 windows go down then? That's awesome! I wish you could do JUST the rear hatch window, but I guess we can't get everything we want.

What dealership? If my local dealership can't figure it out maybe they can call yours.

I have techstream and there was no such option for the rear window to roll down. Plus from your build thread you have a viper alarm system.

So were you able to roll down the trunk window via remote when it was OEM? or is this with your viper aftermarket system.

Viper system has nothing to do with opening windows; I never configured it to do so.
I do wonder if rear hatch roll down is linked to the sunroof, though. When I had it enabled in my '11, I was stuck with sunroof opening, too, and hated that.

Not linked in my '11. My 4 open, along with the sunroof, but not the rear window. I'll try to hookup my techsteam tonight and see what I can find. I'd like my rear to go down if possible.

Does the sunroof open too when you open the rear hatch window remotely on your trail?

care to share more info? which dealer did this for you? I'm not trying to call you a liar. I just really want this feature too!

Yes the sunroof is a bit overkill.

You can roll down the rear window with a window mod. I was told this is what i needed to make it work. I have a 2016 Trail Premium.

I have an extra accessory button on my remote start and I also use Drone mobile and I could of programmed my window to all open and close but having the sunroof be included was not ideal and there was no way to exclude the sunroof from my understanding. I plan on doing the window mod soon as I access the rear cargo area a lot and have my bike rack on most of the year so it would be nice to roll it up and down independently. Will update when I get around to it.

My trail was ordered without sunroof; that's why my theory (now proven wrong) was that it could be tied together.
Now, to clarify, it was not OPENING the sunroof, but was raising it.

anything good that ever came to from from a toyota dealership was always done by Schaumburg Toyota.
