Canadian to American 4Runner Speedometer Swap?

Can you buy a Canadian 4Runner, then buy an American 4Runner speedometer, and swap them out? I can see a few on eBay.

I'm doing some research on this bc the Canadian 4Runner TRD Off Road comes with automatic lights, dual climate controls & KDSS standard. The Canadian 4Runners have kilometers on the outside of the speedometer and miles per hour on the inside. Kind of feel that after a while that would get to be annoying.

Not sure how you would deal with the importing side of it, but I would assume the cluster would just plug in if you find one same year with similar miles. In my G35 the cluster just swaps out easily but the mileage is stored in the cluster not ECU. I assume it is similar.
