Can't Decide: JBA or new SPC UCAs

JBA seems pretty legit, It seems the only reason not to get JBA is if other suspension components dont match the UCA's.

The outside rusted. They had an issue with the BJ coating and surface rust. Now they cerakote them. It’s a treatment used for firearms.

I got a new pair free after mine rusted, basically. Just had to pay for them and they refunded me when they got the old pair back. They paid shipping both ways.

Don’t the wheels rub on the JBA’s unless you run wheel spacers?? My buddy did on his FJ running his stock wheels and 285/70R17 STT PROs.

FWIW- SPC UCA, drivers side ball joint and bushings went shitty after 13 months.

Put in new BJ and bush- see how she goes. If goes south again, there getting pulled for JBA.

I am running the OE TRDP wheels, and would like to avoid spacers if at all possible to reduce scrub and the need for even more body and frame chopping. Does anyone have any input on clearance at full down swing?

What wheel combos are people running with JBA? I am specifically curious if FN six shooters will give me tire rub on JBAs.

I wish all of these manufacturers would put full dimensions out for us to see. But I agree. Just looking at them, it is apparent that the front added support of the arm is definitely in the interference zone.

I’ve been running 285/70/17s on factory wheels with 1.25” spacers long before I put my JBAs on. I don’t have a drop of rub anywhere

That tire size falls into their acceptable rance, as it is around 32.5-32.8" depending on the brand. I will be running nearly a 33.6" tire on the next go around once my current set runs out. So, unless I throw some spacers back on, I will be rubbing quite often.

True, but for that to be good logic, and someone to run the correct offset and a wide 33+ inch tall tire at a normal 10.5" to 11" width, the tire would stick about at least 1.5" beyond the fender. That just looks hilljacked IMO.

255 70 18

I know this is an old thread, but hopefully I can still get a reply...

I just did the daystar lift (2.5/1.5) and now I need to fill out the wheel wells as well as upgrade the UCA to gain back lost caster...

I'm wanting to do 255 70 18 on the factory 18" limited wheels. JBA's website says that 255 75 17 will work, and 255 70 18 is essentially the same. Anyone know if this size will work on the 18" limited factory wheels?

Im in the JBA fan club too! ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT customer service, well constructed, awesome red, and a common reliable ball joint. The washers during install will make you a little insane and likely require an extra set of hands but definitely worth it!

I am running Icon Rebounds, Spidertraxx 1.25s and 285/70 with no rub (did do a BMC but that's not UCA related)
