I was having some clutch pedal problems where it would maintain pressure if I did a fast shift, but if I was in traffic and having to press the clutch pedal more than once, or leave it in for a few seconds it wouldn't come back up.
I swapped out the DOT 3 fluid because the old stuff was black and gummy but that didn't help. After doing some reading I thought the next culprit would be the slave cylinder, so I changed that, didn't help.
This morning I changed the master cylinder, and now it's worse. I have ZERO pressure in my clutch pedal, even after pumping it by hand maybe 100 times fast. I pulled everything back apart and blew out the lines to make sure there were no clogs.
With the master end re-seated and the slave end unhooked I can see fluid draining through my clear tubing and bubbles coming out of the line. I let that go until the bubbles stopped. I tried to pre-fill the slave with fluid, but couldn't really tell how much I got in there before I hooked it back up. ( I did manage to get about an 1/4 ounce in my eye. Boy can that puppy squirt!)
Everything is back together and I'm trying to bleed it again but I still have zero pressure at the pedal. I checked the travel distance and it's currently all the way out. It just feels like the pump isn't primed, if that makes sense. Right now it's doing a gravity bleed to see if that helps, but I don't see anything coming out of my clear tubing on the bleed valve.
