Cargo Area "Tall" Storage

Hey, guys I have been looking for this for a while and cant seem to find.

Basically, its this, but I need the sides to be much taller...like 10inches or higher. It has to take up the entire cargo area, just like the mats do. Anybody seen anything like this?
I dont need a storage box, like a rubbermaid, or an Actionpacker.
In short, a rubber Husky cargo mat with much taller edges...

I've been using one from www.trunk-liners.com. It sounds just like what you are looking for. Mine is a two-piece polypro box. Bottom and sides are one sheet folded in 3 and the back sheet folds around the sides and bottom and is secured with velcro. I'm not fond of the velcro but i'm sure someone can come up with a better solution (rivets maybe?). That said, it was held up very well to my Weimaraner clawing and thrashing around back there daily.

I also tried a fabric cargo liner from hatchbag.com that covers the sides up to the window and seat backs also. I had fit issues with mine. I think they measured on a 4Runner with the sliding cargo tray as the sides were not tall enough causing it to not rest on the floor near the sides. Almost like a hammock effect. It was also too long and hung out of the trunk. Their customer service was out right horrible in trying to get it returned.

I came across another company, Hamiliton something or other that had custom fit cargo liners. if i remember correctly, they were pretty pricey.
 
Thanks for the info. But I need my set up to be waterproof. I keep a lot of fresh fish and clams back there sometimes, in designated bags/boxes and they always leak. The last thing I want is to get fish and clam juice on my carpet. That would stink!

^^ You trying to weed out the 4runner crowd?

DEKA3, have you thought about maybe doing something custom? Like laying out a piece of cardboard back there and making the shape you want with that and fiberglassing it? Then maybe lineX it?
 
How about getting some 1/2 Azak and glue yourself a nicw watertight container...has to be much cheaper than one of those mat gizmos...hell..actually you could just some 1/2" plywood and FRP the inside it...watertight as a frogs a$$...lol

Not familiar with Azak, or how watertight a frogs a$$ is, for that matter. But will look into the first one for sure! Thanks!
 
rhino lining would definately be the best but depending on what you want to put in there, maybe some of that rubberized undercoating would work. that stuff is actually pretty sweet i used it over my patches in my kayak
 
DekA3, Not sure exactly how much storage space you need, but maybe you could find one of those plastic 50 gallon drums, (or larger) cut it to size and well, there ya go. Also, multiple large plastic storage totes, very inexpensive and well, easy to remove even with fish and the like int them. Just a couple thoughts. Be safe.

I cant do the outside storage option though because of parking situation in the city.
 
There's a place on Park just south of the Cross Bronx that makes (or just sells) food grade plastic drums. As said above, you could cut them down to the desired height.

You could also just use a kiddie pool...
 
Kiddie pool....that actually crossed my mind.
I also thought about getting the whole cargo area fiberglassed by a pro. And get a drain hole in there so I can just hose it down.
 
Actually a fiberglass tub would be a great idea! You could build the mold to your exact specs, then glass it in and gelcoat it yourself.

But if you want a pro to do it, I happen to know one, if you want to go to South Jersey...
 
Thanks, but we have a local guy in Hunts Point that has been fiberglassing our refrigerated vans for years. Gotta see if he can do it for the 4runner for a reasonable price
