cargo cover fit in 2013 trail edition?

I just bought part # PT311-89100 to cover my cargo area...there is a huge gap in front/back. Did I get the right cover? Is this just how it fits the Trail Edition?
Please help.

More than likely yes as the gap near the front is to allow your rear seats to "recline" but I've not seen the back gap before. I am planning on getting one but have not due to everyone saying there is gaps. I'd really appreciate a picture to get an idea of the spacing. Thanks

I have the Cargo Cover (was part of my package, so did not "pay" extra for it)...I would guess that the gap between the cover and the tailgate is about 3-4 inches. You really can't see much back there, though. I suppose it is to allow the sound from the tailgate speakers get through better?

I agree, the Cargo Cover was a bit of a dissapointment. I had a Gen 3 T4R that had one, and I liked it alot. That was when 4Rrunners were simple, I guess.

I have one, if you're concerned about the gap just adjust the rear seat back a notch and it will close in the gap. The real complaint about the cover is trying to hook the retracting cover when you pull it towards you. But it does what it suppose to so I'm satisfied.

The cover came with my 2010 and my 2012 TE's, no need to purchase it separately.
I think it does the job quite nicely.
