Honestly, I really don't remember why I got the black mats. I can't even try to make something up.

Thats cool..doesnt matter. I have the gray mat, it may be a bit darker, but I think it looks fine.

I also got the black Husky floor liners in my gray interior. I did it because when I put the gray ones in, the grays did not match; so I went back in and traded for black. My interior has a lot of black accents and my seats are dark grey. I thought it looked better.

At least I don't feel <i>too</i> bad now.

It looks like nobody took out their DD shelf. I was wondering why not. I never seem to have a use for it and I don't like the way the end of my liner (weathertech) stays elevated on the end near the door. I have the liner that goes under the shelf but now only use it on top.

When the shelf is down the mat doesn't go all the way to the back. I know both Husky and Weathertech have full sized mats but I thought they would lay funny over the plastic trays since there is about a 1.5" difference in height. Does the Husky actually have the drop built in or does it just sag down? What about the weathertech?

I'm thinking about just taking the DD shelf out because it is only held in by two screws. Anybody else already do this? Anybody like one over the other (Husky/Weathertech)?

The husky liner made for the double decker shelf has the deep side pockets, so they fit perfectly when the shelf is in the down position. I haven't taken the shelf out, but I can't remember the last time it was in the upper position.

I stand corrected. The last time I had the shelf up was to take the pictures on page one of this post. It may be hard to tell from the pictures, but the mat is made for the shelf (and fits better) in the lower position.

Any thoughts regarding taking the shelf out? I have had the truck 2 years in march and only used it at first for going to the supermarket and it wasn't all that great for that even.

It looks like it is Husky if I leave it in and Weathertech if I take it out. Mostly I keep it down for hauling the dogs and/or shopping -

I never gave it much thought, but there were a few members who wanted to remove it a while back, however, I think there would be a missing interior piece once the shelf was removed. You could probably pick the piece up, but I'm sure it isn't cheap.

Do a search for this. It was discussed a while back.

I'm looking for a cargo liner for my 04, it has the DD system.

What is a good one to get? I'm looking on the web, and there are so many different types, and none of them really describe how they work with the DD system.

I would like one that has the lip all the way around to protect against spills.

Anyone have any photos of the ones they have?

Does anyone have the Nifty Xtreme cargo liner? If so, are you happy with your choice vs. the Husky or Weathertech?

Regarding the double decker system... does anyone EVER use it? I haven't found much occasion to use it (I've only used it just because I wanted to use it... didn't really help any).

I do like the net that is on top of the shelf... that has come in handy MUCH more often than the actual shelf.

Does anyone have the Nifty Xtreme cargo liner? If so, are you happy with your choice vs. the Husky or Weathertech?

I have the Cabela's "Trail Gear" rear floor mat, which is identical to the Nifty Xtreme, but Cabela's puts their name on it (their name tag peeled right off). It like it well enough.

I plan on getting the matching cargo area liner when I get another deal from Cabela's. Usually, a few times a year, I receive offers such as "$25 off on your next $100 order". That's when I bought the rear floor mat. In addition, I believe the Cabela's version is less expensive than the Nifty version, at least in some instances depending where you buy.

I also want to buy the Weathertech mats for the front from Cabela's, so they better send me more coupons. Check out these links:
