CarID Replace bumper parts any good

Are these any good or will they rust after a winter? I have the chrome front bumper, rear bumper, both rear sides and the front top filler and rear plastic cap in my cart for about $600 shipped. Does that sound like a fair price? Body shops want about $700 just to replace the front and another $800 to do the rear so I want to do this myself.

I bought rear center piece from carid for 100$. It was heavy and for me quality was good. I used "Rust-Oleum Automotive Rubberized Undercoating" in back and upper portion to save it from rust but I will never recommend this product to anyone. After a week, paint was still wet. You should use some better undercoat or paint.

Removing bumper was pia, due to rust every nut bolt stuck and four middle bolts were not coming off. Hammer, WD40 , PBlaster nothing worked. I still think PB Blaster is good penetration spray and you can use it. You may also need a propane torch.

I gave up and body shop did replacement for me as weather was cold and I had to replace it. They charged me $ 40. I am planning to open it again to kill the rust on brackets, back of side pieces and other parts.

That sounds like a lot. You can get replacement bumpers off ebay for like $100 a piece. My 4runner bumpers is bolted on a few brackets. I wouldn't pay a body, unless there is damage, to replace them. Sounds like they are taking some sizeable labor fees.​
