Ok I'm looking at Car Alarms since I only have the factory kelyess entry. Who's got what out there and do they like it?

I'd like to also have remote start integrated, not sure what brand I'd like to go with yet.

DEI brands have been great for me. I have a Python and Viper from 2001. With remote start. I've had the Python on 2 different cars, and the Viper on 3. I also have a valet alarm, wich is pretty much remote start and keyless entry. I've had no problems as far as range and starting issues. Remote start is awesome to have in hot or cold weather.

I've got the top of the line viper... 791XV. It has everything you could possibly want, with a display that shows whether your car is locked or unlocked, beeps if you are in range when the alarm goes off or the shock sensor detects something. It's pricey though, but it has a lifetime warranty.

I have a remote start 2way paging system, with motion, shock and radar sensors. Which also has lifetime warranty.

How did you get around the immobilizer? Do you have a key in the "box" or do you not have remote start?

I have the 791 and would recommend it to others as well... no complaints yet.

Neither. I have an 00 and DEI makes a module for 99-02 lexus/toyota that keeps you from having to use a key. They have not made one yet for anything past 02. You don't have to use the module if you don't want, you can just zip tie a key to the key cylinder. Trust me, it works.
