I have said my piece and just wanted to make sure all interested in this know who to get the best info from as they have the unit and have been doing the physical testing.

Now that's one thing I am looking forward to seeing and plan to yank it apart when it does come. From what I have seen it will come apart for painting but I don't have my hands on it yet as I am waiting for the revised version.

If you’re looking for a shiny unit, I personally advise you to paint match it with your TRD pro color interior. As the flat black unit that comes from the factory is not 100% paint matched. It is very easy to take off, 2 panels on the side and 4 x 10mm screws.

100 @$ won’t be enough. Even 500$ won’t be enough. Current CPU’s, chipsets, more ram = more money, this is a head unit and not a auto cad drawing computer or interior design modeling Apple Mac... I think it is more than enough for what it does, thus the lower price. Regular price is and should be 750$ +

A current gen 8 core mobile processor is about $80, and ram is cheap. It's a bit slow in the videos, maybe a different launcher will help but it looks underspecc'd

that was going to be my question as well. In the video the radio functionality is kind of glossed over in favor of the music apps or XM..I guess most people don't care too much about radio these days, but I definitely use it.

Congrats my man, at last, you the amazing Unit! The 2 brackets won’t fit and not needed. So don’t move them. What you said above , the vents , hazard switch and the 2 black plastics of the knobs for the vent. Also remember to not install the XM OEM, although I did, but there is no way, yet, to make it work. I’m working on it...

P.S. I have the file to fix the brightness and know how to do it manufacturer will tell you to load via usb, it doesn’t work ...

[MENTION=296608]Smerdinian[/MENTION] - Good to know. Appreciate the advice. As far as the actual wiring, is there anything you didn’t connect but should have or vice verse? I’m asking here in case anyone else runs into the same type of inquiries during their install.

Here is what I have:

Two yellow lines for Camera going to 7 and 8 for video output

One red and one white going to 4 and 5 for right line and left line

Radio antenna, GPS, and WiFi in their respective spots on the back of the unit. I just have the GPS resting on the top of the unit - didn’t use the 3M tape.

I didn’t connect anything to 1,2,3,6 or 9 on the back of the unit.

Now, I have everything from the 4R connected to the new unit, almost. Not sure what these are? I have three connections coming from the 4R (green circles) and two connections coming from the new unit (red circles). They are not the same size connections. Everything else connected up just fine from what I can tell. Any ideas? Are these not needed?
