This ^^^^^ Warrants are public information with no right to privacy about them. You can literally call in and ask about them. I can run a license plate while driving, see who it's registered to, and run them for warrants if I want before even making a traffic stop. In fact if I can match the driver license picture from the warrant to the driver I can use that as my PC to stop them. Just my $0.02

I almost cited that exact same scenario in my first reply. The picture function doesn't always work for us though. As long as the height, weight, hair, sex, are similar to the person driving - good to go for a stop if their privileges are suspended/revoked. I do it all the time.

Only replying to show that I wasn't ignoring the question )). The other guys seem to have it covered.

Only thing I'll add is this: depending on how much business they do, a recycling place that is asking its local law enforcement agency to check the criminal history of every potential customer may start putting a lot of extra work on that agency - even if it's just the dispatcher, who is often the person doing the check.

I don't have online access from my vehicle, so I have to radio in to the local state police dispatch to run someone. For that reason, I'm VERY careful about how often I call and how much I ask for because they have other tasks: not just making sure their officers get directed to where they need to be in a safe and efficient manner, but also answering 911 calls from cell phones on the highway.

I do remember OR-Fab making anti theft skid plates for for converters for Tundra's and Seqioua's Wonder if there are any for 4Runners.
