Cb antenna destroyed

So when i bought my truck the first thing i did was a cb radio. (already had it as a gift) The antenna was a cobra hg a2000. A magnet mount with a 56' antenna. Had it on top of my truck. The other night there was a bad storm. And i was traveling home on a stretch of road that i travel often and never have a problem with. Well out of no where i heard a loud boom and i stopped quickly to investigate. A low hanging limb NAILED the coil of my antenna and exploded it. I was lucky to find the pieces i found. Ripped the wire clean off too. So i now have the chance to replace it. and i want one with a spring in case something like this happens again. I was looking at getting a firestik and a firestik magnet mount to put on the roof. I would put it on the bumper but i am extremely A symmetrical. So can somebody tell me what you think would be my best bet as far as replacing it. Im open to all ideas. pictures would be helpful too. Thanks in advance guys!!

Here is the picture of the remains. I apologize for the mess.

I would get a permanent mount for it. I have mine between the hood and fender with a spring. You get better performance out of permanent mounds due to a better ground plane. I have a firestik and love it.

I would also recommend a permanent mount. I have never liked rooftop mounts because they sit way to high up and are much more prone to damage IMO.

I have an Outdoor Logic mount, heavy duty spring, quick disconnect, and 4' Firestik antenna and I could not be happier with my setup. I would highly recommend the Outdoor Logic mount because it is really strong and only takes about 2 minutes to install. I would also highly recommend the quick disconnect, because if I need to park in a garage or remove the antenna for any reason it only takes about 2 seconds.

What kind of equivalent can I get to your mount 4ever4running? Or would it be possible to just mount it to the bumper?
