CB in center useless slot

I would LOVE to somehow get a CB in the center slot underneath the radio. I don't know if there is anyway possible to get it to fit. Has anyone done this? I will take a dremel to it if needed, but I feel like this would be a perfect spot for it.

It's very shallow in there that's why nobody has done it.

I have the 505 model same Uniden family line up and I have mine installed in the center console. I can tell you this if it's like mine the depth is deep, mine is mounted right on top of where the a/c Power plug is at the front of the center console, I got surprisingly lucky because when I removed the a/c plug there was just enough room for the antenna connector to go through, so it worked out great, and I have just enough room to close the lid with a tiny amount of breathing room, but I don't think you will have the depth mounting it in that location, but you never know. If there is a way to pop out that piece to take a look and see what's behind it that'd prob make the decision easier.

That's why I liked the center console, the thing fit perfectly didn't have to do any cutting whatsoever has plenty of room to breathe and you can run an external speaker so even with the glove box closed you can still here what's going on.

You have a build thread?

I will say, that spot is not very deep, but there is some ventilation on the back sides. I'm thinking that depth alone squashes that idea.

This may give you an idea of depth from when I installed my sPod.
