CB install

So the CB handle thread reminded me that I may have a handle, but I didn't currently have a CB. That is now rectified, and I am the new owner of one of those little Midland mini units.

It's just the right size to fit inside the ash tray slot, but I've never done any kind of CB or stereo install... how do I make it stay? Anybody know of an install thread that specifically shows the process for installing one of these minis to the ash tray location?

KID if you take the the ashtray out you can see two screws i would use those and a counter weight bracket. it would hold the cb up and in place.
you can also mark the cross bar in the dash to weld or bolt on a L bracket that the cb rear would sit on and the front would sit in place using some kind of plate in front using the two screws.

counter weight would be putting the weight on one end only the face with the screws is taking the weight.
i put together a crude picture, i would use some thin sheet metal it would be easy to work with and best for fitting into place.
