I admit, sometimes the search option isn't your best friend, but many have done it on here. Should be enough to get started. I concur with Amazon. It's my best friend when it comes to research and review.
Once you have the knowledge, feel free to ask your questions. These guys are always more then helpful, but it's give and take.

*Mount of your choice
*Heavy duty spring
*Coupler
*Firestik antenna (get one that's tunable)
Then tune it, and use it. Way easier to just get a Midland 75-822 handheld CB though.

Optionally you can get a single DIN CB radio if you have a single DIN aftermarket stereo and have another slot available below it. I'm currently using a Cobra 18 WX ST II with no issues, it fits in there real snug. I'm using the 12 gauge wire coming off the radio going straight to the battery. Some say to use the fuse box but I chose the battery instead. I have tried both the 4' firestik and the 3' Little Wil magnet mount antennas paired with this setup and I prefer the Little Wil. It's more sensitive than the firestik and I get a lower SWR reading in the middle of the CB band 1:1 but it's 2:1 on channels 1 and 40. On the other hand, the firestik is much more flexible and durable, it looks more rugged and it's easier to tune. Also I get a low SWR (not as low as Little Wil but still at 1.3:1 in mid band) and 1.6:1 on channels 1 and 40.

I installed my CB in the ash tray and used a convertor to replace my radio antenna with a Firestick. It works really well for a CB and I get great reception on my AM/FM radio with it. My wife has even commented how I pick up radio channels really well when way out in the boonies away from the station. The antenna is on a quick detach so I can easily remove it for car washes and such.
I used a CBI ditch light bracket to mount the antenna right next to where the stock antenna would be. Overall it is really clean and works really well.

I just installed new CB radios in 3 of our trucks.
I went with the Cobra 75 WS XT Hide away unit. I like not having a visible CB. The down side is that you cannot really tune this model.
I found a place called hodges marine that sells these for cheaper than Amazon or Ebay.
I used:

Do you have a picture and reference model for that signal splitter? Clean. Unfortunately I have CBI light brackets for lights. ( guessing you have the rocker usb wired to a switch ) I have one sitting in my tool box haven't installed one yet. Don't really feel like feeding new wire trough firewall for power

Is there not enough room to drill a second hole for the antenna? And yes, the USB is wired to the master on/off rocker on the far right.
