CBI CB Antenna Bracket

I got so frustrated with that mount I ended up changing it out. SWR was 5-10, wind noise and the angle just killed it.

I'm glad some of you guys got it dialed in but not me.

Before even tuning this was at a 1.3

I actually went with a knockoff of the Diamond from Amazon. It held up pretty well up until now, it's starting to get pretty rusty but that's mostly because of how close I live to the beach and the crazy amount of fog. If I were to do it again I probably would have spent more and got the diamond. I can get better pics if you want just let me know.

It is paired with the Hustler Quick disconnect and I normally leave the actual antenna in the trunk.

I just installed my CBI antenna mount bracket on the passenger side. It does sit a bit angled outward and leans a bit forward. I think I'm going to try and bend it so that it sits even. Here are the pictures, had to open the hole a bit to use my HAM antenna.

I'm going to be using their mount as well.

Any thoughts on drivers vs. passengers side mounting issue?

Also, where is the pass-thru in the firewall to the cab?

USA591 - Personally, I like the passenger side more. I don't think it makes much of a difference. In my case, the drive side didn't sit well "astatically" so that's why I went with the passenger side.

I don't have a picture of the pass-thru in the firewall, but its the big grommet on the driver side where the hood latch cable feeds out.

I didn't cut mine, just snugged it on one side and put a dab of silicon to make sure it was sealed. Good luck on the install, I think you'll be happy with the product. Make sure you take your time on the hood hinge and use a heat-gun to melt the plastic, don't cut it. YouTube this, you'll see what I mean.
