For what it's worth, Toyota doesn't make manuals on CD-ROM.

Whatever you see on eBay is just a bootleg copy of material downloaded from TIS. Some people do a really nice job of building an index or combining the 100's of little PDF's into a couple of bigger ones, but none are really from Toyota.

I understand it will be difficult to say the least to look through all these pdf's, but isn't the information the same as the manual once the right page is found?

Yes, the PDF's on TIS are the actual manual pages.

The 4 volume 2007 4Runner Repair Manual from Toyota costs $501.76. Omigosh! I would never pay that much.

I guess Toyota wants to keep us in the dark because who would pay that much? I suppose a dealer has to buy a copy for their shop.

You may also pay big bucks to see the same manuals on line at WWW.TECHINFO.TOYOTA.COM You can pay $10 for one day or $50 for one month or $350 for one year.

Yep, I'm a bit late on this request, but hopefully someone still reads this and has a set of manuals on CD for the 04 V8 4Runner.

I'm planning on installing the S/C soon and want to have the books on hand.

I prefer a CD that I can view and search.

Something organized is better, if available.

I have a CD for my Gen 4 (2004) around here somewhere. I remember taking it to Kinko and having them print it out for me. Problem was that it came out to >1000 pages, most of which were diagnostics. I put them into about 10, 3" binders.
