Unfortunately, I only have version 4, so I have to load one file at a time.

Did you find any links in the documents? If so, do they work still?

Yes, I finally noticed the links. And yes, they are (mostly) broken. It doesn't look like Acrobat has any easy way to do a batch update of broken links. No big deal, IMHO. Once you have everything in only a handful of files, it fairly easy to follow the links manually (just like you would using a paper copy).

I might even put the whole thing in 1 file. Acrobat 6 (maybe 4 too) lets you assign page numbers with a prefix. Using this feature, you can basically get Acrobat to recognize the chapter-pagenumber convention used in the manuals. This makes following a link manually no more complicated than typing in which page to jump to (ex. 05-1025).

If you really want the links to work, you could tweak the scripts to produce one or more HTML index pages (instead of renaming the files). You'd open the html index in your browser and then click a link to open acrobat and the appropriate (cypticly named) pdf. From there, the pdf links would work as designed.

I was confused, I thought an archive that was 10m was the CD. It turns out that it is 60m compressed. Since this is beyond the cap of email attchments, I will be happy to mail out the CD.

Send a CD mailer with two stamps to: Glenn Drayer, 921 S. Sarah Wy, Anaheim, CA 92805. and I will send a copy of the (bootleg?) 2004 CD.

Sorry, Last month I defected to the car side with an Accord Coupe. I sold the Manual set I got from Jomomma and I included the CD. I no longer have it available to make copies from.

When I got my '04, I ordered the OEM CD for beau coup bucks. I then had it printed at Kinko's. About 8, 4" thick loose leaf binders. You really only need about 3. The rest are for "Diagnostics" which you can refer to CD on.

Even so, the three main books (incl Electric) are tough enough to follow. No photos at all and they presume a pretty good understanding of component locations and Toyota jargon.
