CDs Won't Suck In

I have a 2003 Limited 4WD with 6-disc changer. When I bought it the CD player wasn't working. Wouldn't eject or accept CDs. It was grinding and such. I took it out and there were 2 CDs broken in half in the first slot. So now I understand why it was jammed. BUT!!!! Now I'm trying to load a CD and the thing that helps suck the disc in won't suck it in. I can hear it trying to and see the gears turning, but it won't pull it in. ANY IDEAS???

If there's a broken disc already in the drive it may have a broken part or messed up something on the drive inside.....it may need work or to be fixed in order to get it working properly.
 
sorry i cant be of help with your 6cd changer but have you thought about getting a new HU, maybe with only a single disk? the scion swap is a decent upgrade & doesnt cost much .
 
After further review, it appears that one of the gears that helps move the disc in and out is broker. Cheap plastic thing. I think I'm just going to keep enjoying the radio.
Out of curiosity, how much is a HU from a Scion? How will I know if it will fit?
