CEL Code - P0302 - Cylinder #2 Misfire

Hello everyone,

I don't post very often, but recently came across an issue earlier this week. My (Check Engine Light)/(VSC Trac) lights came on as of Monday the 18th. I took it to the local AutoZone to run a CEL Code Reader Check and they determined it was a (#2 Cylinder Misfire - CEL Code P0302).

I ended up calling my Toyota dealer and explained the issue and they stated that it was going to cost roughly:

Spark Plugs/Each(x6)------$12
Labor service Fee---------$129
Service for plugs-----------$80
Total: ---------------------$209

I checked with another local auto shop that quoted about $165 for the same kind of process... I tried searching the forum and a little YouTube searching last night, but only found 3rd Gen 4runners or Camry's/(other toyota vehicles, ie. Tundra/Tacoma/Rav4) and older.

My question to everyone on the forum is:

Is it worth it to just have the Toyota dealership fix it for the price listed above or go to the other local auto shop?
Is it pretty much the same process with the 4th Gens as it is with the 3rd Gens?
Is it something I am able to do myself pretty easily with said guide (haven't found one yet)?
Does anyone have any kind of guide that I might be able to go off of, if it is possible to do myself and possibly for future use if others have a similar issue?

My automotive experience is pretty basic and slim mostly consistent of oil changes, rotor changes, aesthetic changes (Interior-dome light swap, radio unit replacement) and (exterior-Bug Deflector/Wind Deflectors)

Plugs you can do yourself if you’ve done rotors before.
This might not fix your problem though but if you’re pulling plugs to check you might as well replace them.
What I’d do is take the ignition coil from cylinder #2 and swap it with another cylinder , clear the CEL code and run it, see if that throws the Misfire code on the new cylinder. There’s a diagram on here somewhere showing the cylinder numbers for the V6 and V8
You can do this yourself in a few minutes.
