couple of updates

I finally ordered new LBJ's last week & installed today; I felt a lot safer going with OEM, got a good deal through Camelback, w/shipping + tax it was around $167.00

Then went to Autozone and purchased up a tie-rod puller for $15.00; and while I was there I also picked up some Energy Suspension end link bushings for $12.99, my old bushings were in pretty bad shape.

Check out how bad my old ones were!! Well the boots look really shitty, however the ball joint itself was solid. I did check for wheel play, and there was minimal movement, but for peace of mind this was a must do.

it was a 2 hour job for me, not bad considering it was my 1st time. Saved myself $300.00 in labor, (according to my local mechanic)

I did use the tie-rod puller to remove the lower ball joint & tie-rods. :bravo:

new end link bushings

Since i was already down there, i swapped out the front sway bar end link bushings.

Also went by my buddies shop to pick up some 2nd gen 4R end links to help me flex out a little more, look how much longer they are compared to my 3rd gen stock links. They are at least 2" longer.

Hopefully I'll have time to swap em' out tomorrow.

and yep I painted them metallic silver!! ha.

Found this Power inverter @ Home Depot earlier for $10.00; works good too, i plugged in my laptop & cell phone at the same time... no problems!

How did the sway bar end links from a 2nd gen work for you,

The end links worked out great, they bolt right on, and gave me about 2 more inches of flex in the rear!! When driving it still feels stock, however there is a slight difference with the new bushings, which is a good thing...

one pic is somewhat fully extended, and another shot almost fully compressed, i've got about an inch of clearance from the lower arm.
