cencalifoothill15's simple build thread

You're so hawt.

I mean, your truck looks like it would get warm because it has a darker paint :loco: :thumb:

Yup that was me! haha I've been spotted! :bowl:

Met up with some buddies that were camping at Dinkey, had a good-time fishing, hiking, water was too low though... Super packed over there-

Did you happen to see a Red 1st Gen 4R? We went up together...

No I don't remember seeing it. I was up there camping with my family. They go every year. I saw you and thought your truck looked familiar. Looks good. I went hiking and swimming over at the granite pools. It was low but still deep enough to jump off the little waterfall.

:hand: Hey man- I really hope your talking about my truck!
Dude me and my truck are both taken and I don't share!! Hahaa! She's is a looker though, and only bound to get prettier-

LOL. I love the inconspicuous packaging. Jealous though. I wish I had a box at my front door with that written on it.

Seriously huh... I'm shocked it didn't get stolen, bunch of tweekers around here! But I did get a warm fuzzy feeling when I seen it sitting by my door.

That's cool your family goes up often, very nice to place to do some good family camping. I personally enjoy it more than Yosemite, so much more to do in that area. I'm actually going back this weekend to take my kids swimming/fishing.

Thanks for reaching out man!:hatsoff:

On Board Air

Got this from Amazon today-

Tuff Stuff 150-PSI portable high volume air compressor

it received good reviews, so hopefully it lasts a long time-

I guess that's cool but it pales in comparison to my high volume air thing-

What CB are you gonna run?

LOL That's one hell of a air compressor- Looks heavy duty, is that the new dual-purpose Ridgid? vacuum/air with built-in LED's?

I got the Cobra 19 Ultra III- Got for $35 at a truck stop, I believe Wal-Mart has the same model, same price. I'm looking around for a antenna mount, any suggestions? and I don't want to pay $50 for a little bracket!
I have a gift card from Amazon, so the search is on-

*But I did mount my light-bar- Still waiting for my wiring kit....
:mmph:

Make one

I just stuck mine on my bumper, though I don't have the stock bumper and I have a 4' antenna so that might not be workable...

Make friends to make one :D It's like a single bent piece of metal unless you get fancy and weld a gusset in haha, I agree $50 is crazy!

And just wire your bar in yourself! They don't pull enough power to need a relay depending on what switch you're using and that simplifies the harness then! How're you gonna run the wires into the cab, are you gonna drill through the roof?

Yup I thought about making a mount, seems simple enough. But I'm probably going to get it through Amazon, I found one for $20 bucks thats made by Firestik. It's cool because it's adjustable and will mount perfectly where I want it- I have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket.

I am going to wire it up myself once I get the kit (hopefully any day now) I plan running the wires down the driverside pillar under the rubber trim, straight into the hood. The switch will be mounted on those empty switch plates near the steering wheel.

I really like your BAD-ASS switch setup!

Are you talking about the 3 switch setup? Since I can't find any pictures of my new 6 switch setup on my build, which is like my first setup but now overkill  Are you getting some of the OTRATTW switches?

snivilous I'm talking about your nice 6 switch setup you funny guy you!

Yeah I don't think you ever posted pics of it on your build thread, but you did on the 4Runner FB page. I did drool a little too....

What are OTRATTW switches? Is that what you have? I'm going to use the little switch that's coming with my wiring kit, but eventually would like the setup you have once i get more lights-:clock:

Oh and BTW you should post some pics of your switches- why not?

CenCalifoothill15, looks great! I like the light output. Might be an LED light bar in my future now, thanks.

I'm enjoying turning night into day-

My Wife was like why do you need that?...

Then I took her out for a drive through a dark country road and lit it up...

then she said.... "wow-hooooly shit!!!" :)

Putting my old Galaxy to use...

Jumped on the bandwagon and got my OBD-II Bluetooth adapter & Torque Pro App installed today- (*Android)
Great investment for around $30, this one received the highest reviews, however there are a lot of cheaper options on amazon that should work also.

Works great!

Your battery voltage is fine.
Do they have the phone app for iphone or idevices because I have an extra Ipod touch laying around that this would be a cool little project to install.

Chewbacca checkout the "innovate OT-2" it's a little pricey, but should work great. Oh and my battery voltage does look okay after doing some research, the Big-3 would be nice- thanks man-

Christmas in July!!

I recently got a little bonus from work in the form of e-cards so I bought some TG/DOM 67" Sliders & Gusset kit from Amazon. I really wanted some Savage sliders w/the kick-out- Oh well...

I also ordred a 48" Hi-Lift, and the rest of my CB parts-

Oh and also ordered a pair of amber Eagle eyes LED's, i'm going to "try" and turn these into turn signals-

Hopefully I get some time to get all of this installed-:dizzy:
