Center console swap

A friend bought a 2014 trail premium and has two 12V plugs on the back of the center console. I'm curious if you can swap the rear portion with the 12V plugs into a 10-13 trail. It would be nice to have some power to the back seats. I'm not concerned about wiring the plugs as I have a fuse block under the passenger seat I can tie into. Per these two diagrams they look to be the same.

Price them out, buy your parts give it a try.
If it won't work, you may be able to return them.

why not just flushmount some 12v plugs or usb plugs depending on what youre using them for

Most aftermarket plugs stick out too far behind the mounting plate. They interfere with the air ducts so I've read. I guess I'll have to look into this a little more.

A few months ago I was doing a project that involved drilling two small holes in the "Upper console trim panel". I elected to install two small etched, back lit push button switches for subwoofer amplifiers (1 & 2) on/off control. A BAD mistake was made (by me) while drilling, so I wanted to replace it only to learn that the part was cost prohibitive (Only sold as complete unit). I think they were asking $1,200 plus so that wasn't happening... so I filled it, painted it, and drilled it again; much more carefully this time, turned out perfect!

However... When I went on-line (just now) to find out how much they wanted to charging me at that time, I found this: 2010 2013 Toyota 4Runner Center Box Console Center Assy 58910 35290 35300 | eBay This price is cheap to me, but you could purchase just the sockets you want from amazon for pennies on the buck, and install them yourself. Best to you!

Purchase some BlueSea's and install them.
Measure twice, cut once.
