How does Cline look this time of year?

I have no idea... I've only been living in Bend since March lol

Cline is a bit lower than Bend, generally sees less snow. it could be a blast. But, if the forecast is correct, tomorrow is going to dump on us.

Concur on the NY ride.

Winter storm Decima is here! We are getting a REAL winter this year. WhooHoo!
Stay safe out there, good time to check that winter safety bag you should have in the car. Blankets, food, water. Tire chains. Tow strap.

I would be down for a New Years run.
I will let the rest of you figure out when/where.
Seems like I tend to throw a dampener on the fun.

So...was there any interest in some kind of New Years drive?
I went out SE of Bend 12/24/2016 and its good till about that Ground Hog OHV play area.

Snow was working the Runner there.

The farther south you go the deeper it gets, but we only had about 18" snow and its packed down some. Ground Hog was about as far as I wanted to go solo.

I did a spur of the moment run down to Christmas Valley last week.
Back way down Moffitt Rd. out east. It looked like I was the first person out there since the snow...it was nice and frozen, not all muddy like it gets after the thaw. Then drove on the sand dunes for an hour, was fun.

Went to the drive though carwash after and was turned away because the runner was too dirty...LOL.

Herding cats...lol. reminds me of when the Myth Busters tried that.
Maybe we have to tease them out with treats? Beer, candy, strippers?

We might have scared them off with that first run, I would like to hit that Edison again this fall or whenever the snow thins out, up there. We only made it through half the loop.

That said.
We can play mellow, I like to drive the back roads and off the beaten track, don't need rock piles to make me happy.

That was Bowman Dam on the Prineville Reservoir, out East of Bend, 4-Corners, Millican Valley OHV area.

I am a bean-counter, so I am out until after Tax Day, but any time after about the 20th of April would be great. I need to get out and add some proper pinstripes to the rig. And combo of driving and shooting sounds great. I'm a COSSA member, happy to host out there if we want.

I would be up for a Sunday or something. Gunna head down to Bend in the next month to pick up a RTT from Free Spirit Recreation, likley on a Saturday. Spend the night then do some playing on Sunday.

I am a bean-counter, so I am out until after Tax Day, but any time after about the 20th of April would be great. I need to get out and add some proper pinstripes to the rig. And combo of driving and shooting sounds great. I'm a COSSA member, happy to host out there if we want.

That COSSA stuff would be fun...was a BIG white military tank silhouette...what the..., and some LONG range targets way up the rimrock that looks like fun shoot'n.
Sucks the public range is closed, if they had not put the toilet in, there would be no maintenance to speak of. Now we can just spray our LEAD all over the country side.

You can camp at most of the lakes.
Allmost in town...Tumalo State Park - Oregon State Parks and Recreation

Camps out east too. Dry dusty style.
Depends on what you like.
Can just drive out some forest road and pull over.

I really wish I could. While I was able to get the time off but I couldn't wing the trip up to Bend. The girlfriend and I are going up north to northern WA for a weekend away. BUT next month is looking pretty good!
