Goode is about 5 minutes from me. I'm not aware of any places to go in that area. There are only forest service roads around here. If you want to do some exploring let me know. I'm not into the hardcore mudding or rock crawling thing but I'll hit some trails if we can locate some.

Check out George Washington National Forest. Theres a few trails to choose from. The park is pretty huge so you would have to decide if you want to hit the northern trails or the southern trails. Ive been on Peters Mill trail it was fun, not to technical either. Id love to go back. Shoe Creek is having some issues right now, supposedly parts of the trail are closed (private property). Also check this out George Washington & Jefferson National Forests - OHV Riding & Camping:OHV Trail Riding

Heres another helpful page, https://www.facebook.com/groups/733015176783065/

I say we put a run together before it gets freezing cold. I have a few friends here in Richmond that would go.

that would be sweet man! ill take a look at that stuff and maybe we can be in contact about it soon!

I'm down in VB and would be interested in linking up with you guys down the road as well possibly. I've been watching the Shoe Creek Closure very closely because the family loves the Crabtree Falls area in general for hiking and camping. Such a bummer.

heck yeah. sounds like we may have a small group to go out one day. I am thinking a weekend in august would work for me

There's a pretty fun forest service road/dirt road from Lexington to Eagle Rock that i drive (have some friends in the Eagle Rock area). It's not technical, lengthy, or anything exciting but it beats driving 81 or 220 the entire way when you can zig zag your way through the woods!

Additionally, I'm down for a ride in August and I'm also planning on going to the Overland Expo in Asheville NC if anyone else wants to rally to that!

I'm going to need some details on this. :driving:

Count me in on any trail run in the area. I have a couple friends that also want to go.

If there is room for one more I'm definitely interested in joining this expedition. Just give me a heads up on the day. Weekends obviously work out the best, but I would not be opposed to taking a day or two off work.

I'll be in Asheville for the Overland East Expo in October as well.

I'm not sure if he is interested because we beat his rig up pretty good on the last time out, but if he is we may have quite a crew. Salman

Are there any specific trails you guys want to run? Assuming we're interested in going to the GWNF.

I've hit flag pole several times. It's decent. Might be more fun with others. I looked around one trip trying to find other or more difficult trails but came up with nothing. Maybe someone else is more familiar.
