Changed out my vacuum hoses with silicon- pic

Where did you guys find the kits on that website? I put in a search for 4Runner and couldn't find anything specific.

ordered some today, thor999, look on the left side of the homepage and click 'vacuum and boost line' there down at the bottom of the page and come in blue, red, and black in both the dress up and shop kit.

If you look on the site, they have 2 "kits". A shop kit and an engine dress up kit. The shop kit has more feet than the other. Each has the following sizes: 10, 8, 6 and 4mm.

These hoses have very thick walls, and seem to be of high quality. I looked in a bunch of places, and the price was great for the quality of hose and the quantity. They shipped the same day, plus I found the coupon code for 10% off.

So the shop kit has all different sizes ?

And there is enough length in the shop kit ?

You basically just measure and cut from the kit ?

got mine in today, the shop kit has 18 feet of 4mm, 12 of 6mm, 8 feet of 8mm and 6 of 10mm, way more than enough!

This is just what Ive been looking for. Depending on the day, I pull a 446 code and Im sure it has to do with a crack in a vac line somewhere. Thanks for the suggestion Im going to order today! BTW, did you buy any clips or connectors?

If you look at my original post pic, I used a cable tie on the radiator reservoir hose. The rest of the hoses were snug to tight. No issues for the year that they have been installed. My hoses were coming apart every time I messed with them!

Heater/coolant hose has fabric reinforcement to handle pressure,vacuum lines don't.

and could anyone shed some light on matching silicone coolant hoses?

My heat core hose had a leak and considered the silicone hose. After further inspection I realized it wouldn't work. Went to Autozone and bought a replacement fitted hose for about 10 bucks. Just like new again and no leaks.

So would the engine dress up kit have enough tubing to do most of the lines or do you need the shop kit?

That HPS stuff is pretty expensive. Several hundred dollars for the same as the shop kit and $100 for a radiator hose sounds a little over the top.

Interesting they offer this:

The interesting part being that there is NO SUCH THING as a 2001 or 2002 manual 4Runner. Also, if it fits a manual 2000, how can it NOT fit a '99 which is virtually identical?

There is a guy on the landcruiser forums that supplied silicone hoses for coolant. I'll post a link for in a couple minutes after I finish reading this thread.
