Wondering if the charcoal fuel canister is full of gas on my 04 v6 t4r?
I smelled fuel near the back of my truck but could not find a leak. It was a really strong smell but could not find any drips or puddles. This has happened twice that I know of in 2 days. Once climbing on dirt roads to the top of a 10,000 ft mountain and the second time after driving for about an hour with a couple of stops in 115 degree heat. Yes, I live in Arizona!
Also, I have noticed that the spark plugs seem to be intermittently fouling out a bit at idle or low rpms. These problems may be related if the canister is full of fuel. I do have a tendency to "round off" to the dollar when I fuel up. My local shop cannot duplicate the problem and there are no codes in the computer. I just had the 150k service done about 1000 miles ago, so something might have been disconnected or busted.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
