Charging a cell phone in the truck, how?

A/C Power Outlet
I guess my truck doesn't have it. Perhaps it is because I have the "lowly" SR5 instead of the Sport Edition or Limited model. Not that I ever planned on using an AC outlet in my 4Runner, but it would have been a nice conversation piece if nothing else.

I looked in the center console and I only have the 12V DC power port that resembles a cigarette lighter plug.
Nevertheless, I still like my SR5 - even though I don't drive it much because I don't want to pay $3 a gallon to fill it. I've been driving the heck out of my Sentra these days, but it gets almost twice the mileage from a gallon as does my 'Yota.
P.S. Any news on whether or not they'd offer a recall or "free fix" on the sulfur smell from the exhaust? I only get a dose of it when I have the rear window rolled down and the truck's motion draws some of the fumes into the cabin. A minor irritant, but a mildly embarrassing one at times.

I don't have one in my SE either; I think it is an option on the SR5 and SE, and standard on the Limited.
Consider yourself lucky if you only get the odor with the back window open. I don't think Toyota will fix that. A vacuum is created in back of the 4Runner when its moving and exhaust just wants to fill it when your back window is open, especially with the exhaust coming out the back instead of the side of the truck.
I just ordered a Xantrex 400 Power Supply (320w continuous-600w surge) from Amazon. It has both 120v AC and 12v DC outlets, plus a self-contained air compressor. It was $85 (no tax or shipping).
We drive my Miata a lot more now. I just averaged 35mpg on a trip to Cape Cod, gentle on the gas pedal and top down all the way.

I happened to also noticed this sulfur smell. It has ocurred twice now whenever I turn off the car off and turn it back on 5 or 10 minutes later. Maybe this is not the right place to post this issue but since you brought it up.

Hey one of these guys has it right . We do tons of camping and off roading way out in middle of nowhere and bought a stand alone power source > Its called the Proffesional PowerStation . Its made by powerline and the model number is ps2000 . This thing does it all including jumpstarting the suv , pump the tires and has one heck of a bright light . It is about a foot long , 8 inches high and 9 inches wide . And if worse come to worse you can always beet someone to death with it 
as it weighs about 15lbs . I believe we bought it at Cosco and was around 20.00 bucks . A very good investment all around !
