It's mine, I picked it up yesterday. It's a Kayline. The vinyl is in excellent shape. Now I want to do some mods to the cross bars to make it fold up like the Softopper.

It's mine, I picked it up yesterday. It's a Kayline. The vinyl is in excellent shape. Now I want to do some mods to the cross bars to make it fold up like the Softopper.

What mods do you need to do? My Kayline rolls up fine.

I was hoping to make the 2 cross members into 1 pieces like the softopper and be able to have 1 connecting point and fold the whole thing back. I found a new thread on yotatech that has a design for the rail attachments so I won't have to drill 100 holes also.

Oh, I see what you're saying. First off, just drill holes in your existing rail attachments to match the holes used to bolt your hard top down, and reuse the hardtop bolts. Then, you should find that the front crossbar has a bend in it near the bottom that will allow it to fold flat against the rear.

The base of a hard top? Not to my knowledge, that comes off when I put my hard top on, and my hardtop doesn't have anything of the sort.

Yours doesn't have a mounting rail like that?

That there is a custom fab job. No, when my hard top is off I do not have that base. I am acquiring some rectangular aluminum tube and pop riveting the mounting rails that came with the used Kayline. Thanks for the pics. They'll go a long way in assisting my fabrication. Pictures to follow.
