After many, many years it's time to ditch the spacer lift. My truck is still running good despite having 148k miles on the clock. I just invested in some new Clazzios to spruce up the interior. Since I plan on keeping this rig forever I decided it's time to make an investment in the suspension. The stock spring are saggy and worn, creating a terrible nose dive anytime I pull into a parking spot. It's time for some serious lift.

One of the greatest benefits of owning a 2wd 4Runner is that we have the ability to lift the front end sky high. With that in mind I've decided to capitalize and will combine 4" lift spindles with Icon extended travel coilovers. While performing my research I noticed that most of the other members running lift spindles pair them with Bilstein 5100's, I think I am the first to pair them with Icons.

The rear must be level, I hate reverse rake, so I've decided to go with Icon's new 3" Overland springs paired with Icon VS rear shocks.

To round out the package I also purchase Icon tubular UCAs and Slee Off-road stainless steel brake lines. I can't wait to get everything installed.

I should probably mention that I already have a 1.5" Roger Brown BL. In a couple of days this rig should be riding high...lane:

Measurements as of now are 37.75" in front and 40" in the rear.

I've got 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers at the moment, but will probably upgrade to 285/75/17 Trails Grapplers (34's) once these are worn out. To

Sweet I really like the ICON front coil overs. The rear not so much. I had 3 Icon VS 2.0 shocks leak on me. I would keep an eye on the rears if I were you.

And here is the after. We decided to install the coil-overs at the preset height and the end result is 45.25" vs. 43.5" in the rear. I began to adjust the coil-overs, rotating counter clockwise to lower the suspension for a more even stance when the spanner wrench broke... I've asked Icon for a new one. On the bright side, at least my tires don't rub anymore! Speaking of tires time to step up a size or two. My 285's look tiny now.

Lookin good! But has a gnarly pre runner stance, almost as if your runner could eat up 4ft+ whoops at 65mph...lol nevertheless looks good!

I know and I HATE reverse rake. I was able to level it to an even 43" ground to floor all the way around. Still a beast though. There is still about an inch or adjustment in the coil-overs, so I might bring it down a little more.

In all seriousness. If I removed the running boards I wouldn't be able to get in. I almost split my jeans just trying to step up to the running boards

Right now I'm sitting at about 42.5" in the front and 44" in the back (ground to floor measurements). I had a spacer lift before and gained about 4.75" in the front and 4" in the rear.

You might need a step ladder.

Mine does take a bit of practice getting in and out.

I am assuming you are using wheel spacers with this setup? And what kind of gas milage is it looking like you are getting?

gonna be that guy and ask why you wanted this lift for a 2WD truck? purely for looks?
