Am I missing something here? These usally go for 4-5k in good condition, this one has 200k + miles and needs a goddam engine, for 4 grand?? Also, i have seen about 6 or so 96-2000 runners with salvaged titles going for 5-6 grand, when theyre worth less clean titled. Wtf ??

Ha! If the 4Runner has been taken care of since day one with all the services done and no accidents, then the original engine would still be going.

I guarantee it has something to do with the timing belt/water pump or the barrings. Someone should go check it out and see if he will let you pull the timing cover off and take a peak
