I know this post has been dead for almost three years now but I'd love to get out and try this place out. Just a stock 2010 Limited but would love to get mud splatters on the side of it. You guys still around?

I'm still stock too and haven't ever taken my truck out but I would love to hit some simple trails sometime as well. I have a '97 SR5 4x4. I live in Naperville and don't mind driving to meet up anywhere.

Jay, From the looks of your rig you need to try out Cliffs Insane Terrain. It's off of I80 out west by Starved Rock. I'm a little hesitant to take my stock rig out there but you could have a blast.

Hey Guys I've been on the board for awhile just really busy at work and stuff you know. I built up a 2012 Trail 4Runner and have been busy with that as well. Anyway I saw that you guys are trying to get your meetings off the ground and would like to propose an event to you all. (Don't mean to hijack the tread just keep it going).
I run a company in the Chicagoland area and we are having a spring gathering and store opening. I also started a group of folks called Great Lakes Overland Society on FaceBook if you would like to join up we have all sorts of get togethers and trips throughout the year.
On April 18th - the Vulture Equipment Works factory store opening and spring off-road gathering.
The guys over at Vulture are extending a night filled with laughs, off-road camaraderie complete with music from DJ Quandt, hot dogs & refreshments and 15% off everything in stock in the store! (except YETI coolers which already at insane low prices) Also there is 10% off special orders from any of their supported product lines. Location: 610 Enterprise Drive, Oak Brook, IL 60523
Time: 7:00pm till Midnight
Fare: Hot Dogs & Refreshments while supplies last (BYOB Optional)
Free Raffle: Everyone gets a complementary ticket for attending - 12 items ranging from Vulture A2 straps to Embroidered Hats
Entertainment: Live DJ and music / Bags
Parking: Lot and street parking - NO lawn parking (please be respectful of our neighbors and the grass)

Holy thread revival, I know... just wanted to chime in that I work at 22nd/York and have seen your 4Runner several times going north on York and West on 22nd. It always catches my eye.
