Just curious as to why you went with 275's. You said you wanted the 295's but went with the 275's. Why didn't you go with 285's?

what size spacers did you run? I'm planning on getting some 285 cooper discoverer st maxx, but may have stock ride height for a week or two until i decide on what lift kit to get, something that'll lift it 3". should i get 1" spidertrax spacers all the way around? would i need aftermarket UCAs right away? or only after I lift it?

295's not actually in production till next month... Don't make a 285 in an 18" wheel.. so I went with what I could get my hands on that would still fit under the truck! :-)

Truck looks good, what is not in production till next month, because I have 295/65/18 DuraTracks since like June of 2013.

Good year is retooling the whole line for better quality control, and we have been with out 295's for a short while here over the winter was the understanding i had, they have always been available... but my info could be bad too. :pout:

For a few weeks.... Got a new set on the way.. The duratracs really killed the mpgs for such a stock height tire.. So trying some bfgs kos next
 
You said "mpgs".....hahahhaahh!!!! We all know why we got these things and good/great/average gas mileage wasn't one of them! Mount the Duratracs and drive that thing!! :lookout:
 
Lowered Thumper here back down with Bilstein 5100's and leveled it with .85" front lift and no rear lift.

upped the tire size to a 295 and threw the gobirack and ladder on there! Looks killer now!!!









 
I guess I'm a bit confused, as I'm a total lift noob... Are you saying the only lift you're running now is the Bilsteins up front at .85"? Didn't you already have Icon coilovers and UCAs? Also, near the beginning, did I understand you say correctly that you thought you could run the 295 Duratracs with a simple 1" spacer on all 4 corners?

I took the icon suspension off the 4runner and put it on my FJ the FJ Cruiser is more of my wheeling rig the 4runner is more of my family traveler overlanding rig.. Now the 4runner sits on Billstein 5100 no lift in the back the first notch on the front but just point 85 inches of lift in the front and it sits on 295 tires that fit with major trimming
